Baby handprint footprint crafts fall into two categories.

The initial is the crafts that you do with your baby or toddler for fun that uses their own handprints and footprints.

The second is the crafts you do using your baby handprint footprints as keepsakes.

Baby Handprint/Footprint Crafts for Fun

My personal favourite idea for fun crafts that use your a baby handprint is finger painting. I started finger painting with my son Jamie when he was in regards to 20 months. Now at two years old he loves not one thing more than to be stripped down to his nappy and given the finger paints and a big piece of paper to play with. The initial few times I necessitated to aid him finger paint to assure the paint went on the paper and not in his mouth, but now I just sit with him while he explores with the paints and colours by himself.

Baby Handprint Footprint Keepsakes

The main ways to preserve your baby’s footprint or handprint for future successfulness are:

Ceramic Painting Keepsakes

Ink Handprint Keepsakes

Impression Material Keepsakes

Baby Journals

Ceramic Painting Keepsakes

I’m sure once you see your baby’s tiny hand and foot for the initial time you will be just like I was and want to preserve it for life. My husband and I decisive to take our baby to a Ceramic Cafe to capture his tiny wee footprint and had a completely gratifying family craft morning together. The cafe has all sorts of ceramic items you may choose to paint, all while you have your coffee!

We chose a cute pair of ceramic flip flops and once our baby was asleep we put him in the front pack and were capable to paint his feet and press them onto the ceramic flip flops. We applied paint to write his name and his birthday on each one. We also made a plate each for his grandmothers and gave it to them from their grandson for their Christmas present. They of course exclusively loved them and we all treasure this tiny ceramic footprints.

Ink Handprint Keepsakes

You may likewise use a non-toxic ink pad to capture your baby’s hand and foot prints. You may buy baby handprint kits which have all that you need in them.

Impression Material Keepsakes

It is likewise possible to use impression material that you may buy specifically for making a baby hand or footprint. You may get kits that do not require mixing, baking or gluing and may be applied right out of the box and air dried overnight.

Baby Journals

Many Baby Journal Books likewise include a space for you to put your baby handprint and footprint.

Baby journals will also help you to totally document your baby’s introductory year.

Does your little one fantasize with regards to hiking through the deep, dense rainforest and cavorting with the exotic animal friends that live there? Is he or she more comfortable surrounding by plants, tress, and other signs of nature than by the plastic and metal of the concrete jungle? If so, then give your little one nights filled with bright, sunny tropical dreams with a jungle safari theme bedroom.

At the heart of a jungle theme bedroom is a habit treehouse bed, giving your little nature lover the sentiment of bedding down in a tropical rainforest each night. The foundation of a habit tree house bed could resemble the rough bark of a giant tree trunk that your little one may creep inside, while a wooden platform at the top may be a canopy bed draped in the naturalistic forest canopy of large, shady leaves. Custom bedding for a tree house bed might look like colorful piles of fallen leaves or be covered in leafy jungle and animal prints.

Any child who would thrive in a jungle theme bedroom no doubt loves to climb and clamber around like a monkey. You may without apparent effort fulfill this need by building climbing bars and/or a climbing wall into the habit treehouse bed.

Green is the indispensable color of a jungle theme bedroom, with shades of brown being secondary. Create the sense of being deep in the jungle by painting the walls and ceiling with a busy, colorful mural filled with tropical plants, flowers, and trees, as well as a great deal of jungle animals to scope out while on safari, including parrots, toucans, cockatoos, monkeys, lions, zebras, leopards, gazelles, giraffes, and more. Add real depth and vividness to the effigy by stuffing the room with big stuffed animals too.

Grassy green rugs or thick floor mats make the perfective floor coverings for a safari theme bedroom, altho an area covered in hardwood (or faux hardwood to protect a child’s specifically heavy wear and tear), brings about a perfective space for the types of play that require a harder, flatter surface while still sustaining the fantasy effigy of being buried in the thick jungle foliage. And speaking of foliage, bordering the room in large, leafy plants and tress (be they real, fake, or painted on the walls) manufacture the sentiment of being enclosed, covered, and surrounded by the dense forest canopy.

For extra detail, you may likewise decorate a floor lamp, a television set, or other low-lying piece of furniture as a glowing campfire.

Make the magic of the tropical rainforest come alive for your little one when you transform his or her personal living environs into the natural environs of a habit safari theme bedroom.

I would give it 5 stars if it only had more toys on it to hold baby’s attention, but it is very sparsely populated in the toy department.

Aubin
My son has been using this playmat since he was 2 months old. He is now 7 months and still reaches for it daily. He has learned to flip it over so he can reach the higher toys. I have yet to replace the batteries and everything still works great. The music plays for quite a while so you don’thave to keep running over to restart it. My son also loves the crinkle leaf and zebra tail on the mat itself. Since he has been rollling over, he can now chew on them and it is one more thing to keep him occupied! I highly recommend this line of products!

The convertible five point harness is a little difficult when our baby is wiggling. It might be better with some sort of pressure snap to keep the top and bottom portions together but it definitely does the job. We have a hefty 4 mo old and she is very secure in the harness. The stroller is a reasonable weight; I carry it between the second floor with no trouble. Sometimes I have trouble folding it but that is because I forget to align the wheels, so watch that and don’t get frustrated when you’re in a hurry.

3 of 3 people found the following review helpful.
All-around good stroller
By Patricia
I have three sons, and have always had multiple strollers: an umbrella stroller for quick trips; a jog stroller for walking in the woods (or, theoretically, jogging); and a serious travel system for going to the mall. I didn’t care about folding size, storage space, etc.

When our youngest son was two we moved to Europe for seven months, and I knew we could only bring a single stroller with me. I needed something light enough that I could carry it up and down bus steps and up to our apartment. I needed something that folded relatively small so it would fit in a tiny European car. I needed something with good storage room underneath so I could store three kids’ stuff. I needed something with big wheels for bouncing on cobblestone streets or going offroad. In other words, I needed one stroller that could replace my three at home.

I looked at multiple strollers, including much more expensive ones, and picked this one because:
- it has the biggest wheels I could find in a stroller that still folds up (relatively) small–perfect for all-terrain strolling.
- it is light enough that I can carry it up multiple flights of stairs, and I’m not superwoman.
- it folds small enough (for a big stroller) that it fits in my car
- when I fold it, it can stand up by itself–great for at the busstop, or in my little entryway
- the basket is pretty big–we store a lot of stuff down there
- it holds up to 50 pounds–so even my bigger kids can have a ride if they’re worn out

But, there are a few things that might not suit every person.
- The stroller is permanently reclined. My 2-year-old doesn’t mind; he just sits up straight. But if a kid leans back, the canvas sides would prevent him from seeing anything except straight ahead. I’m sure this would be very annoying for a smaller child.
- The bar is probably at an awkward height for a baby. And, the bar is kind of hard to open (but at least your kid won’t be opening it himself!), and can pinch little fingers when they close it.
- We never use the 5-point harness, but I can imagine it’s a little annoying.

3 of 3 people found the following review helpful.
my son finds it confining
By vergosuede
I bought the metrolite when my son (now 18 months) was born. He has never liked to ride in it. I thought that it was just because he preferred to be carried (we are regular baby-wearers), but I recently bought an umbrella stroller and he is much happier in it. When he is in the metrolite he has trouble looking around because the arms and the tray are so high that they block his view. Also, the seat is permanently in a semi-reclined position which just doesn’t flow with my get-up-and-go-go-go boy. It is difficult to fold and unfold – definitely takes two hands, and it takes up almost the entire trunk of my corolla.

With the release of the new feed group pyramid, there are officially five feed groups. Oils and butters are now included as a feed group; but for the aim of this paper, we are still going to consider ourselves to have only four. The four feed groups are grains, fruits, vegetables, meats, and dairy. Let’s take a look at each feed group and talk about a few of the more indispensable points from each group.

Grains cover a wide range of food: breads, cereals, rice, and pasta. That’s rather an array of food. Breads come in so a good deal of varieties; pita, rye, white, and wheat are the more ordinary varieties. Cereals are so a great deal of there’s not sufficient room on fifty pages to talk about the varieties offered. Rice and pasta are a little more fixed in their offerings, but are still rather varied. Almost each choice we make in this group will have vitamins and solid homogeneous inorgani substances added for our nutritional supplementation. That’s a good thing, since most of us won’t consume our commended dietary allowance, or even get close without the fortification of our milk and grain feed group.

The next feed group to be discussed is the vegetable group. Okay, here is the prospect to score real nutritional “brownie” points, since it’s almost out of the question to make a bad choice, or even overeat. The only members of this feed group that we must be careful to not overstate are the starchy vegetables. These vegetables have a tendency to turn into sugar once consumed, and we commonly don’t need an excess of sugar.

Fruits are a healthful category, so long as we do not forget to watch our consumption of fruits that provide too much sugar. Most fruits integrate naturally occurring sugars; even though these take place naturally in the food, it doesn’t mean we need to consume uncontrolled quantities. A healthful each day allowance of fruit includes with regards to 4 servings.

The meat, poultry, fish, arid beans and eggs feed group holds the protein your body needs in order to invent properly. Without protein, your brain and some other body organs do not decently develop. If not decently developed, they will not work properly. Protein is one of the most essential pieces of our growth and development needs. The down side in this feed group, would be the fact that animal meats have naturally occurring cholesterol, and even though a good deal of cholesterol is good for us, too much is unhealthy.

The last feed group we’re going to talk about is the dairy food. Milk, yogurt, and cheese belong to this feed group. Again, one of the most essential vitamins we need may be found in this feed group. Calcium is necessary to the optimal functioning our cell processes, and the growth of our bones. Calcium has a tremendous effect on the health of our heart and other critical organs. Inadequate consumption of calcium may lead to long-term life altering consequences. Osteoporosis is the leader amidst crippling of post menopausal women, and it is plainly due to a lack of necessitated calcium for the duration of the earlier years.

It is perfectly necessary for everyone, children and adults to grasp the importance each of these four feed groups plays in our healthful development, from childhood to old age.

This is a basic food groups set so you get (4) little wooden crates filled with meats, veggies-n-fruits, dairy, and grains.

That said, after receiving the product, I can confirm that buying separate sets would have yielded superior pretend food, but would have quadrupled the investment. Besides, the kids love it and engage in all the rich, imaginative and independent play parents love to peripherally watch while reading the newspaper or something.

In summary,
Pros:
-All wood, nice all-in-one selection
-Kids like it a lot

Cons:
-Made in China
-All the produce is smaller than life-size — even the egg and lemon (whereas the individual sets include many life-size items)
-Paint from some of the produce arrived scuffed onto other produce (enough to induce a mildly annoyed “come-on” but not enough to initiate a return or obsess over)

We all love this set. The pros: very sturdy and made to last, takes a beating/frequent use, set includes a little bit of everything, comes with handy wooden baskets to store them in (or your child’s rock collection, which our child now uses them for!). Cons = foods are a little old school – certainly not realistic, they are much louder than plastic (esp. when dropped on hardwood floors). Overall, we recommend these as a nice alternative to plastic foods and cardboard boxes that will be dented and destroyed quickly.
