One thing that most mothers observe on their baby diapers are the cartoon characters and the packaging that comes along with their disposition diapers are that they are often times colorful and very cute.

There are but a few downsides to the revolution disposable diapers. The surroundings has taken it is toll with the rubbish that is thrown at it, in United States alone there are more than 20 billion diapers being disposed yearly. Also constructing these diapers are not that friendly to mother earth. Talk regarding plastics, papers and other chemicals being introduced to the once green earth. In addition, disposable diapers are known to make babies experience rashes and a good deal of other kind of skin irritation from the harsh chemicals found and employed in developing the diapers. The odor that these diapers will emit is more rancid than the ones that may be emitted from a cloth diaper. Also, do not forget the cost of each of this baby diapers. A whole week supply of huge packages may cost a household of when it comes to $15 up to $30 of supply.

Maybe ok for a small dog?

The bad news: I’ve been happy with other Simple Solutions products before, so I bought the large size for our 46 pound mix breed dog. She’s 14 and has bladder/urethra cancer. I can’t get these diapers to stay on our dog. They seem like they will stay on when you first put them on, but they look kind of “low rise” to me. For our size dog, they don’t go all the way up to the tapered part of her waist. Then, they either come unattached on the sides or just slide off the back of the dog. The only time we use the diapers is at night, and they always come off when she moves around in her sleep – which you can imagine isn’t the best of help for our situation.

The good news: I emailed Simple Solutions about the problem, and they got back to me almost immediately – and it wasn’t even a “form” letter! They thanked me for my input and told me they always welcome fresh ideas regarding their products. They said they would forward my suggestions (for a longer waist to tail measurement) on to their marketing department. They also said I could return the unused product for a full refund. So I must say, even though I was displeased with this particular product, their customer service was DEFINITELY a plus!!

Okay but not great

I’ve been using these diapers for our older dog who do to medications that she is taking is incontintent. I had the same problem as expressed by other reviews that the space between the hole for the tail and the waist is tooo short. I modify the diaper by expanding the hole downward to allow the diaper to move up over our dog’s ‘waist’. Our dog is a small dog – around 30 lbs -a cocker -beagle mix and I use the large size diapers for a good fit. I continue to use this brand and modify them as they are the only option that I like.

I have a 13 year old Standard Poodle with incontinence issues despite hormone pills. Simple Solution is the best product on the market. The absorbency is high and there is no odor. The urine is absorbed away from the skin and fur. Excellent product.
